Arvesynden – Original Sin

«Original Sin» reflects my childhood, marked by isolation from family due to differing life perspectives,
»You can harm my children’s souls» I heard as a 7-year-old from my uncle. Throughout my childhood I wondered what this meant. How can I, a child, harm another child’s soul, by just being me? With time, I realized it referred to the ‘sin’ of my parents leaving the sect, a burden I inherited as my ‘original sin.’
The sculpture was initially exhibited in Spelvik Church in 2015, later acquired by Norwegian art collector Christian Ringnes.
